Kirkland Coastal Modern Residence

The Kirkland Coastal Modern Residence was thoughtfully reimagined to better support the daily rhythms of a busy family of four. While maintaining the existing footprint, we completely reworked the floorplan to create a more functional and connected layout tailored to their lifestyle. Opening up the kitchen allowed us to introduce a stunning 12-foot island—now the true heart of the home—perfect for gathering, cooking, and everyday living. We added new windows throughout the main floor to flood the space with natural light, enhancing both the openness and warmth of the interiors. Personality was layered in through carefully selected finishes, a charming arched entry moment, and a beautifully detailed stair runner that adds softness and texture. Upstairs, the primary bathroom was transformed with a more intentional layout, featuring a spacious shower and double vanity for ease and comfort. In the family room, we worked with the existing fireplace tile—refreshing the space while maintaining a sense of continuity—while the living room fireplace was completely reimagined with a new sculptural shape and a Roman clay finish, creating a refined focal point. The result is a home that feels brighter, more functional, and perfectly aligned with the needs of this growing family.
